Yakuza Remastered Collection For PS4 Leaked

The rumored Yakuza Remastered Collection, which brings together Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5 in one package, appears to be coming soon. A listing on the PlayStation Store seems to have accidentally outed the compilation before it’s quite ready.

As of the time of writing, an icon for the collection can be found in the “New Games” subsection of the PlayStation Store. It isn’t available to search, and clicking on the icon prompts an error message reading, “The content cannot be selected at this time.” That all suggests that the listing jumped the gun a little early, but it’s probably coming sometime soon. Gamescom is currently underway, so it may be announced there. (Sony also might correct the error to remove the listing until it’s ready.)

The three Yakuza games were remastered separately in Japan, but fans in the west have hoped for a compilation that brings them all together. Yakuza Kiwami and Kiwami 2 are remakes of the first two games, while Yakuza 0 serves as a stage-setting prequel. Yakuza 6 is the most recent and concludes the main story of the protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio may not be done with the world of Yakuza, though. The recent game Judgment takes place in the same fictionalized setting, and Sega has teased another seemingly Yakuza-related announcement for August 29.
