Dark Souls Remastered Review Die and Die Again I The Koalition

Jakejames Lugo of The Koalition writes: I must admit that Ive never gelled well together with the gameplay of the Dark Souls series. Yet at the same time, I respect its dark and gritty aesthetic, as well as its approach to being an action-RPG with a horror-inspired twist. Dark Souls Remastered is the same game that you know from the original PlayStation 3 release, but now with cleaned up visuals and a few other tweaks that fans of the original will notice. However, despite being nearly identical to its original debut in every good way, many of the same problems Ive had with the series are still present and never addressed, even after later games in the series improved upon its core formula and challenging gameplay.

Review: Nobunagas Ambition: Taishi | Hardcore Gamer

With the fifteenth entry in the Nobunagas Ambition series, Koei Tecmo could have taken the easy route of piling more things on to please long time fans while leaving the uninitiated in the cold. Instead, they took the strategy of reworking the entire user interface and tutorial to let the newbies have some fun, which works extremely well.
